Beer Tastes better...

After having a baby...

Maybe it's b/c I couldn't enjoy it for so long while prego's.... But I am sitting here drinking "A" beer with my dinner. A Sleeman's to be exact. I'm eating pulled pork with rice and drinking a beer. Husband's gone for a month. Baby's asleep for the night (finger's crossed). And the dog is staring at me.

I told my mother today that I NEED to spend some time on two wheels once the summer comes and the baby is older. Perhaps it's winter and the fact that I am never not on duty, but I miss the feeling of riding my bike. I miss the cold air that flies in through my vents and the smell of the ocean getting closer.

All that will require a lot of planning. No more just taking off as I please.

It's all worth it...and the beer tastes better.

Anyway... back to my beer.

I love beer. Sleeman's is great.

Can you get Mill St. out there? I enjoy that too.

Awww beer!

They say absence makes the heart grow fonder.
I say abstinence makes my gut grow flatter.

Either way, oh yeah... it's one of those true pleasures in life.

Particle Man 02-04-2010 09:23 PM

sometimes you've just gotta have a beer (or 5)

I am... and if last night's performance had anything to do with the "beermilk", I might have to stop having the odd beer. Baby was up from 2230-0230. I am beat :(

It all makes sense in the great beer circle of life.

Half the people on the planet, are here because of beer.

We could be looking at upwards of 15". Starting any time. I'm hoping for an early dismissal from work.

We've had a real mild winter so far. Cold, but not much snow. I need some beer ideas. Got any suggestions?

I'm gonna go with Sam Boston Ale or Troegs HopBack probably. Of course you know Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is always excellent....maybe I'll get that.

What is your favourite Sam Adam's? I'm going to try find some. I've only ever had the Boston Lager.

My personal fav is the Boston Ale. The OctoberFest is awesome too...but you probably won't find any of that now.

Rider 02-05-2010 12:01 PM

I love, love, love, their Scotch Ale but I cant find it here. The Boston Ale is good too and recently I have been drinking the Pale.

Ugh, that Lambic is NOT good.

Does their scotch ale taste like innis and gunn? Or is it butterscotch?

It's not butterscotch for sure. I've never had an Innis and Gunn so I don't know but I like just about all Scotch Ales. Dirty Bastard is none of my favorites. SA is pretty good too the problem is, nobody carries it here. I need to have a few words with the retailers but since Dirty Bastard is local and is very good there really isn't much reason to stock any other Scotch Ale.
