How do you deal with judgemental riders?

So, this may be a girly question, but after a few years of this it's finally gotten the best of me. How do you deal with people that won't shut up about how you bought the wrong bike? I have a few friends I ride dirt with and one of them--who I consider a really good friend outside of riding--just absolutely will not shut up about how I should have bought a 2-stroke. His reasons don't even make sense--he says I'll be less tired, but I'M NOT FUCKING TIRED WHEN WE RIDE! He is...because he's on a CR250R. :wtfru:

Then there's the Honda people that won't shut up about how anyone who doesn't buy a Honda is stupider than mud. This particular guy happens to be both a 2-stoke guy and a Honda guy.

I'm a big boy, I've been riding motorcycles for a long time, I'm capable of making decisions based on my own circumstances which happen to be different from yours. Not a legitimate argument apparently.

2-stroke guys are typically more tired around here on our trails. They are more work in the mountain trails from what I gather.

Just tell him to shove it up his ass.

It's just the natural tendancy of men to pick on each other. If it wasn't about bikes, we'd be insulting each other's looks or weight or athletic ability or luck with women

"How about you ride your bike and I'll ride mine?"

"I'll remember that next time I was thinking about forcing you to ride my bike."

"I was just thinking the same thing about your wife/gf/fiance."

Kick in his teeth with a big pair of boots.

Anytime you know he's going to be away from his bike for more than a few minutes, piss on it. Then when he says something say, "you know, I think you're 100% right... but Honda's smell like piss."

Yeah, he can dish it but can't take it. That's par for the course for this type of person it seems. Give anything back and you just get a 1/2 hour argument.

Today at lunch: "So me and Brian were talking and we thing both you AND DJ would be better off on two-strokes." STFU seriously.

Piss it is.

Can you take him in a race? If so that'd be the best way to shut him up.

I likd any and all of these. Seriously, tell them when they buy and hand deliver a bike for you, their opinion will matter... Until that day, eff off.
