Home theater/stereo?
I was testing out the Klipsch RF82's at work the other day. :dribble: They are going on my list of things I want. I need a bigger house first but I want those speakers. I also want the rears, center and sub to go with them.
What is everyone else running? James |

Older Bose Acoustimass 15 system. It sucks huge. The only saving grace is I bought it used from a friend for a fraction of the normal price.
I would like to do some nice front tower speakers but with the state of current systems I don't really think it is worth it. Towers are good for base, but now that is handled by a sub anyway. You may be better off getting some larger bookshelf speakers for the front and running one or two quality subs. If I were to build a system today it would consist of Polks for the full range speakers, a CS2 for the center channel, Monitor 40s for L/R front, and 2 pair of Monitor 30s for the surrounds. You can be all in on the "7" portion of a 7.1 system for $500 with the deals Newegg is running. Spend whatever is left on a sub or two. |
HK AVR20
B&W DM302s B&W ASW500 I do want to upgrade my receiver to something with HDMI inputs though. |

I'm old skool I guess...
Cerwin E-76C DCM KX-12's Cerwin LS6 surrounds x2 Cerwin 15' downfiring sub that I've had for 15 years. It just won't die and pounds harder than anything I've ever heard in a house. |

I have a Denon receiver, Cerwin Vega front, center, and rears and I am running a 10" Paradigm sub. All my stuff is recessed into the walls with the rears in the ceiling. I'll get a pic of my setup tonight and post it.

The true afficionados are against ceiling mounted rears but I'm wondering about how noticeable it is to us mortals... |
