See... yet another reason why I want to go into the line of work that the American Pickers are in.

I mean, that's good luck and all, but I still don't want to go to garage sales.
Bunch of trashy folks putting all their crap no one wants in their driveway, only for other trashy folk to come by and try to bargain with them on it. No thanks.

This...NOTHING says trashy faster than hosting or attending a garage sale.

I've found some very cool stuff at garage sales, (including a '74 Ducati GT750 that was housed out back, in a chicken coop). If I see a bunch of baby clothes and toys, and "collectible" Avon bottles, I won't stop, but...the absence of those things can mean you are about to stumble onto something unique. That's the cool thing about garage sales, you never know what you might find. Have you no sense of adventure? JC

...and if you hit one that's a pizzed off recently seperated/divorced female that's selling her husband's tools/toys and don't really care what she gets for them...or a recent widower selling her deceased husband's stuff...just saying...good stuff can be had...cheap.
At least this is what I have been told... |

I do....but...I prefer to look for adventures riding...or scuba diving...sky diving...trying a new fitness regimen...travelling the world.
Rummaging around like a greedy voyeuristic vulture in someone elses junk pile? Not so much. |
