New car / truck prices...
A new, base-model 4-cylinder, 5-speed Ranger costs almost $18K..?
Base-model, full-size Chevy work trucks that start above $20K..? |

You can thank those 90 dollar an hour workers and your loving government.

Small size pickups have always been close to full size. Id like a small pickup but im not paying sticker price or anywhere near it.
Id like to find a deal on a Ranger with the 4.0L V6. |

Seven years ago I bought a new, base Sonoma for a tick over $10K OTD.
Twenty grand for a stripped down pickup of any size is a joke. That said, used prices for trucks like the one I currently own are much higher than I expected. I was thinking of selling mine and picking up something smaller for the fuel economy, but not for these prices. |

Not until 15 years ago. Plenty of small trucks before then.
Fuck trucks, they are a ripoff, precisely because you guys keep buying them. The manufacturers know they can get good money for them. And for such low tech ---- All they are is a box on a frame, but when they add leather seats people think they're luxury vehicles all of a sudden. I mean seriously, mid-upper 30's for a F150 XLT? what a joke..... The only truck I've driven that has performance-like handling is the Tacoma X-Runner. So that's the only truck I'd ever consider buying. Unfortunately it looks a little silly with the body kit it comes with. |

I mean... it's fucking PIMP... but for 60k, I'd get a pimped out mini and a newer (but used) truck. FUCK.

Lifted with aftermarket offroad suspension? Or just a lift kit from the factory? If it's just the latter, I'm struggling to see how the total would reach $60K unless $15-20K of that is rimz/tires.
