Is anybody else cling wrap retarded?
How the fuck do you make this stuff work? 28 years on this planet and I still haven't figured it out.
The ladies can wrap water with the stuff to make balloons. I can't even cover a fucking piece of tupperware and have it seal. JESUS CHRIST! I hate this stuff! |

Usually I only succeed in tearing a section off, only to have the trailing edge wad up on itself. When I try to fix that, the leading edge gets all wadded up. Then somehow, without fail, the two tangled ends meet and render the whole piece useless. After all that, I take whatever I was trying to wrap and punt it out into the back yard. My husband wraps his sandwich everyday with that crap. It takes him a good 5 minutes because he always makes these giant sandwiches and he wants it wrapped up just right.
I can find a thousand other ways to keep things sealed, so I never use it. I call it crap wrap. |

yo - its not that hard. the trick is not to rip off the piece first, keep it in the dispenser.
pull out a bit, lock down the edge, then pull it tight over the top and down. while putting pressure on it down, pinch the middle of the dispenser and rip it off. the seal has already been made, just press the loose stuff down.

Short version- whatever you're wrapping, handle it so that the plastic wrap is always under a little bit of tension, and that most of the wrap that's exposed is in contact with the item. The second you have any significant amount of plastic wrap loose it'll turn into a wad.
