Default Dropped my bike

I dropped my bike about a half an hour ago. I was taking a shortcut and turning on gravel, front wheel came out from under me and down I went. Landed on my left hip and elbow but no helmet contact. No damage to me but I'm still hitting up medical later. The crash bars saved the bike (like frame sliders for cruisers) so it's undamaged as well, just need to adjust my left highway peg as the bolt loosened up. Not a serious crash at all but it's the first time I've ever came off the seat so I figured I'd post it up.

Safety notes: I was moving at a very low rate of speed, appropriate to the road conditions. Going down was pretty easy on me since there wasn't much speed to dump. Also, I was wearing all my gear so no road rash.

Contributing factors: I hadn't ever gone through that back road in that direction, usually I come from the other way so when I came to the gravel I was going downhill instead of up. This made the bike squirrelier than I was used to in that spot.

Glad you're ok. Was this due to front braking?

OK you crashed...dropping your bike means you were stopped. lol

You should have put this in the Street forum....an actual motorycle thread is needed there.

That sucks, but at least nothing serious happened.

I was expecting an embarrassing story.. like the other day when I forgot to unlock my bike lock. >.>
