Default The Double Yellow line: Do you or not?

Under what conditions "if any" do you pass when you have a double yellow line?

If I can see a clear line, I'm passing.

If it's clear, I'm going for it.

If I have given the car a chance to pull over and they have not. I will pass on the double yellow if it is clear and not a major curve ahead. I also do not make overly rushed passes.

Yeah, what she said.
On most of our good roads, it seems inevitable that you get stacked up behind slow-ass drivers.

That's me!

I will never forget the Gap this year though. A group of us were passing a Ford Contour and he gunned it to keep us from passing. I am not sure you can really say 'gun it' when referring to a Contour but it was amusing to watch anyway!

Cars here never pull over for bikes. Therefore we all have to be dicks back and be at 100 by the time we pass the driver's seat.

Lines painted on the road are not a factor in my choice of lines or passing maneuvers. My choices are based on the capabilities of myself, my vehicle, and intimate knowledge of my environment.
