Default 2008 or 2009 Honda 1000rr - Anyone Rode It?

One dealer has a red one for 9299 OTD here in socal.

Anyone test rode one for a writeup?

one of my buddys has one, says its an awesome bike, coming from an RC51. says it'll do EVERYTHING he wants a bike to do.

I have ridden an '08 in street and race trim. It is definitely a decent bike. But for the same price (at least here) you can still find left over '08 Gix 1000's. And after having ridden all the liter bikes in both race and street trim, nothing does it for me like the Gix.

2009 was the redesign wasn't it?

yep, bpf forks and a shorter stroke engine. Hasnt finished well in most tests, most were calling it bland in a hondalike manner

You talking about the Gix? Yeah it was and I have yet to ride one. But the two fastest guys in the NW both ride them and love them. In fact one set a new track record at PIR the last race weekend on it, with a BONE stock motor. But for his price comparo Im still sticking with a leftover '08 Gix

Get the discount on the 08 1000 because I think it is the identical bike as 09. I test drove it and it seemed great (what can you really learn with the sales guy following you) and every mag gave it great reviews.
