Congrats - hope it all goes smoothly for you.

I'm looking forward to 6/15 for my spot bonus check.

Have the nerves started to kick in yet? They will.

No matter how nervous you get, there's nothig better than walking through the door that first time, knowing it's yours.

i'll warn you from my experience, all the way to the closing meeting you're telling yourself, "it's not too late to back out of this". You go anyway of course because you know you want to do it. They hand you the keys after signing a million papers and suddenly you feel ............nothing. slightly excited but after so many signatures and what not your mind is still not fully in gear.

Then as you leave the meeting it starts to kick in that you can now "go home" to your new place. The final kick is when you unlock the door for the first time on your own. No realtor there this time to hold the door open for you and draw your attention away from that crack in the wall............crack! hey that wasn't there when we looked at this place!

First time I walked in our house after the closing I felt like I had never seen the house before. Granted I bought it knowing it was a fixer upper but wow did I ever find a lot of things I hadn't noticed before. 2 1/2 years later it is amazing still that we own our own place. Solitude and peace of mind while there are great.

Oh it's a ton of work by the way. The list never grows shorter, only much much longer.
