Who owns a bike that there's no dealership nearby

I know its not a BIG deal to not have a dealership in your town but its nice know there's a place to take your bike to get fixed (if you cant do it) and someone there "MIGHT" (use might loosely) know how to work on your bike. Plus if you have a warranty what good is it if you cant get free labor out of it.

What I'm talking about if say you want an Aprilia. Well the closest place that sells them is 100 miles away or more. You buy one any ways. Just wondering if it's a concern or if it hasn't made a difference on you.

O I know that. I'm just saying that if you need warranty work done on something that needs special tools that you absolutly cant do without then I'm just wondering what the bike owner does.

Me. My closest Buell dealer is an hour. Not awful distance...but not close. But I usually only go there for the free Buell loot and demo's.

I think it's more model specific than it is manufactorer specific. My Hayabusa and SV650 had great fit and finish. Aside from that faux carbon shit Suzuki was putting on everything in the late 90s early 2ks that is.

The fit and finish on either of my YZF600s was poor. Thin pain and cheap plastic. Still loved the bikes though.
Fit and finish on my FZR600 was great.

my 07 Z1000R was great for fit and finish. Didn't have a bad piece on it. The Versys? looks poor from the cockpit.

You can't take it to a hd dealership for warranty work. Must be buell to get on the network and get the parts and training. Hd shop may do regular maintenance, but most don't want to as they are not trained.

That's why I bought the service manual, when I get back warranty will be expired so it won't see the dealership anymore

I've got the book too...but there are a few things you cant do with regular tools. Like a TPS reset. Thats what the dealer did for free for me. I could get ECMspy and do it...but I dont have any desire too. However, the 08 and up models can perform TPS reset without any tools.
