Somebody turns 8 years old today....
Yup... I'd like to wish a very happy 8th birthday to..... my bike! Yes, I know I'm weird.... that's beside the point, lol. But she's been amazingly good to me and still puts up with anything I can throw at her, not to mention she's creeping up on the 1/4 million mile mark, so I had to do a little something.... she has had a rather... ahem... adventurous life thus far, you gotta admit! 8 years ago tonight I was rolling her off the Rick Case Honda showroom floor with 3 miles on the clock, having never ridden a bike in my life and not having a clue what I was getting myself into, lol. It was (and still is) the first and only new vehicle I've ever bought new my entire life. Now sitting right at 246,706 miles as of today, 20 states covered from Arizona to the Chesapeake Bay bridge, and from the Michigan/Canada border to the Florida Keys, ridden in rain/sleet/snow, temps from 15 to 100+ degrees, a few off roading excursions, and 5 trackdays and she's still going strong, and starts right up immediately on the first crank, every single time... I certainly can't complain! Can't believe it's been 8 years already though... sheesh time flies when you're having fun! Not showing any signs of slowing down anytime soon, so here's to hoping she's still got a few more years left in her =)
Put a "2" in front of that.... dang 5 digit odo, lol 10-17-04..... I really didn't have a clue what I was getting myself into, lol. But I guess it all worked out... we're both still here, right? Still looking halfway decent, I do suppose That is all..... carry on.... don't mind my nerd-ish self, lol

I'm almost 60k. My vacation trip this year helped that out. Gonna have to start doing little mini trips during the weekends. Wish there was some ghost towns around here.

Worth celebrating.
Hell, I wish I'd loved any of my motorcycles (or riding in general) enough to log that kind of mileage.

Congratulations man. I'd be happy with any vehicle that tracks that mileage and still looks and behaves that well.
Awesome stuff. |

Nice, nice.
If you do ever decide to let it go you should run the odo over again and sell it with "low mileage" ahaha. *Mental note to look further into mileage/usage on vehicles in the future* I hope my Honda lasts that long, and longer, as well!
