I don't get it.

I mean, I created an account - and don't ever go there... about to go delete it because I don't understand the purpose. Is this a site built on the concept of self-importance? Like anyone cares what you are doing that exact moment... there is no commentary, no conversation, just a one-sided blub publishing, wait - sorry - TWEETING what you are doing.

wtf

How the hell did that site flourish?

Seriously?

It's for tools who have zero attention span, and no patience. The type who live off sound-bites without any desire to dig deeper.

Also, to my knowledge there isn't anything you can do on Tweeter that you can't do on Facebook.

I thought that you were singing the praises of twitter at one time?

Keeping other parents in the loop about updates or changes to band practice, etc.

Maybe it was Facebook?

More of the same imo.

I don't know about singing praises - we tried to use it for our swim team, to update people that wanted to get text messages about current moment information. The trick is - it's a public website that you can't make people sign up for, so people are still out of the loop

I don't understand it's daily purpose as a website. It does LESS than Facebook. FB at least has photo and video sharing, links and notes, games and other blather to waste time... Twitter is just updates. Just status blurbs of someone's thoughts. If it weren't for updating people that need to know minute by minute information what IS it for?

Tom
I have a Myspace page simply because it's not even worth me logging in to cancel my account.
