I have a 15gb that's about 5 years old. The battery is done in it, but I put a stereo in my car that will charge/run the iPod, so it stays in my car. I rarely listen to the radio anymore.
I won an 8gb Nano about a month ago, and I gave that one to Carolina as the one she has was a 1gb and wouldn't hold much. My iPhone is 8gb, and I've used the iPod part of it a few times.

I think if you live in NYC, you have to own one. If you don't everyone looks at you like you are a douchebag...

I've always hated iPod, you pay more than their worth for what you get and iTunes is a pain in the ass. Then I needed something with more than 20 gigs so I bought the new classic. While I still think they're overpriced and iTunes is still a bullshit program, I have to admit a growing love for the unit itself. Small, convenient, and easy to use, it's replaced my radio. If anybody has a small nano they'd like to get rid of let me know, I need one for running.

I am an iPod fanatic. I got the 2nd gen nano a year ago, and I've not turned the radio on in my truck since. It has gone on several vacations. I ride with it ocassionally.
AND... My wife just got me the 32GB iPod touch. This little thing is amazing!!! The games are cool. You can listen to your own music while playing them. It has a built in speaker so there's no need for earplugs all the time. I've downloaded some cartoons for my daughter when we are in the truck. No more getting the portable DVD player out and plugged in. I just hand her the iPod. And I'm a reader. I've downloaded about 50 books. The reader is cool. It scrolls the words as you read. You can tilt the iPod to control the speed of the text. So I have a virtual library with me all the time.

I bought a first gen. nano a number of years ago. I think it's only 4 gig and it has served me very well. When I used to run with music it was great. I listened to it on the train every day when I lived in London.
Last week after many years of use and many beatings later it's finally gone for a shit. It still works but I can't use the back button so it's only on shuffle. I asked Santa for a new one. |
