It appears that Hennessey has a similar type of deal.

The original car is being offered as a special edition by selcet dealers.

Quote:
Hennessey offered the first HPE700 Camaros exclusively to registered bidders at the 2009 Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona. However, the car will eventually be available to the general public or ordered from select Chevrolet dealers as well as directly from Hennessey. Pricing will start at $109,500. Twenty-four of the cars will be built, but 11 are already spoken for, so if you want your own piece of completely unreasonable muscle-car Americana, you'd better hurry.
The lesser HP car seems like a kit you'd buy from or send the car to them.

I agree, Hennessey is a crook. I don't know why Chevy would want to do business with him.

But if the car can be bought through, seen at and delivered to your local dealer, your chances of getting the product promised seem better than the guys shipping their cars to his shop.

What are those, 26's? Wonder what the deal is with that red plate behind the spokes. Maybe it helps provide structural rigidity since those spokes are probably weak as shit

Whatever it is, those brakes sure aren't getting any cooling.
