Not hate but disdain.
A proper V-twin has a growling, angry, sound at idle and throws out barking, mad dog sound at throttle.

A proper V-Twin? If it runs I'm pretty sure it was built properly. European V-Twins are jut different, not anymore proper than an HD V-twin.

I was raised in a garage. Thumping rv cammed big blocks lulled me to sleep. The firestorm engine sounds good, my old SV sounded different but good. Ducs and Aprillias are different but good. Parrallel twions suck. Inline fours sound like indy cars...to each his own.

I was reffering to the ninja 250/500, BMW F800, Laverda 750. They kinda sound like big scooters to me. Opposed twins like the BMWs sound alittle mechanical as well.
My SV with its Micron pipe sounded sweet. The TLR1000 with agood system sounds cool too...
