Default WANTED: Arai RX-7 Corsair Panther helmet, size M

I recently saw this helmet and fell in love with it.......there are absolutely no cat helmet designs out there, till I spotted this one. But of course (I'm admitting....) I don't want to pay $600+ for a helmet! If anyone sees a good deal on one, let me know. I know it's a long shot- I think it may be last year's design.

First place Id check would be ebay, esp if it is last years design. I just saw one at a local ducati dealer but I think it was still full price. I can probably find the number if you need it to find the price and see if they can ship it to you or something.

There is one on e-bay. It's an '05/'06 model and I asked if it was ever a display model. They said it was, and it's still about $625. I don't think I'd want one that was sitting out for goodness knows how long.

The Arais are pricey, for sure, but WELL worth it. Being a recent Arai convert myself, I can say there's probably no other lid I'd be comfortable in.

First off, have you tried the RX-7 on yet (to know if it fits your head properly)?

If it does, as said, I'd check Ebay, and I'd also call The Helmet Shop in Daytona Beach, FL. They have a website, but the prices on their website aren't nearly as good as what they'll quote you by phone or in person, so just call em.

Make sure the Arai brand fits your head shape. Arai is for a completely different shaped head than Shoei or Suomy.

Very true. I was going to buy an arai, until I tried it on. I now have a shoei in my room.

I do plan to try one on this weekend. My husband has an Arai size S that doesn't fit me too badly, but I know I'd need a M.

If the shape of his fits you well then it should be fine. The shape wont change much and the medium will probably feel a lot like his broken in small since its still new.
