I don't see how storing a babies DNA is a problem. It could help identify a victim or perpetrator many years later. And as far as insurance not covering "preexisting" conditions... well, medical coverage is not a right. Auto insurance companies will drop you if you become a risk because of too many accidents or tickets. If you are a high risk medical subscriber, then why can't the insurance companies drop you too? Remember insurance companies are in business to make money, as soon as you become a liability they drop your ass. Is it fair? hell no, but that is the sad reality of life. I hate insurance companies and would love to have affordable health care without the involvement of ANY insurance company be it private or government funded, but I don't see that happening in my lifetime.
