If you watch the slow-mo replay, you can see he picked the front of the bike up on the exit of the previous corner and slammed it down on the brakes... basically he bounced the bike, which made the back end slide around on him.
Hopefully he gets to race this weekend, that'd suck to see him disappear from the championship because of that wreck.

Highside's fucking SUCK! I cracked two ribs in a highside.
I have only seen two that were worse, one was Shakey Byrne's rookie year at Brands Hatch (not the Suzuki Highside, he was on a honda) and I watched a privateer highside in the Int Horseshoe at Daytona that was wicked. Brrrrr, highsiding sends shivers down my back. |
