It's better than romeoville. And, less redneck than naperville. For a better commute you'd be looking southwest, which sucks horrible ass compared to other areas. Or, you could live on the Northside and drive four hours a day....

Ok, yeah, f*ck this whole idea then... Good food and good shopping do not outweigh crappy weather, expensive housing AND more rednecks.

Theres no way that Chicago has more rednecks than northern florida. Northern Florida is like their homeland. Well pretty much anywhere in the south is their homeland.
You could go kick the asses of the two gap thieves. They got kicked out of UT and had to go back home to Aurora.

North Florida isn't even Florida really... it's south Georgia. |

I have to agree with Trip as far as Chicago they probably have fewer rednecks then north Florida, but they're not very far away. as with any city Chicago is more prone to the gangsta thug types then rednecks. they do have a very nice downtown area with mostly business professionals and what not but I would imagine you would be talking major coin to live there.
I do have a friend who lives in one of the northern suburbs. yes long commute but he doesn't mind. very pricey there, but very nice. I have heard bad things about the stadium there and it's location but I have never been there personally. I do love looking at the architecture as you drive through the city. I like downtown Milwaukee's buildings as well though. LOL |

I now live in Texas. They have worse white trash in the Chicago area than we have here. The area I highly recommend is the North side... but, since you'd be working on the southwest side the commute from there would make you eat your own skull. To take the train there, you'd have to go downtown and back out again... not exactly a viable solution. That is, unless they are offering a boatload of coin to move.... Josh grew up there, his parents still live there. We talked about it at dinner last night. I'm waiting for him to chime in..
