Yeh could have been any road junk. Looked like it hit the wheel then through the windshield, but couldn't see much else from my phone

Few years back I was behind a car on my VTX when it ran over a piece of 2x10 or 2x12 about 12 inches long with his right side tires. We were on a divided 4 lane doing 65-70 and I had my feet up on the highway pegs. The board came up and hit the inside of my right thigh just above the knee, luckily with the flat part of the board. It hit hard enough to knock my foot off the peg and leg out about 90 deg to the side. All I had time to do was duck behind my windshield and hang on. I held my line and it wasn't anything big after but it sure hurt like hell and gave me one heck of a bruise. If the skinny side had hit me it might have been enough to break my leg.
Ambulance...not sure what to say about that one...guess they need more business? |
