Spies LEAVING Factory Yamaha...
Spies announces a mysterious Tweet yesterday talking about something new or going back to where he belongs. And then this bombshell today...

So where does he go? The rumor mill says Suzuki GPs return to the sport . Other rumors say BMW WSBK. That one has less legs as BMW announced this weekend they will be downsizing and sticking exclusively with Melandri. Interesting move. Was it a ploy to say he was leaving before he could be replaced? Or just genuinely done with the whole Yamaha situation? Btw for those of you that dont know.... Yamaha GP is completely broke and actually Yamaha America pays his salary....

I cant see him going to suzuki and staying in GP esp after stepping down, given the time it takes to develop bikes suzuki wont be competitive for a few years anyway so he will just be another back marker for lorenzo to lap. Maybe get a ride in wsbk or worst case run BSB. Comming back to america to ride ama would be as bad as going to club racing after all hes done.

He's trying to make it look like it's HIS choice to leave when the writing has been on the wall for him to be replaced all season. He choked away one of the best rides left in MotoGP....Won't be surprised at all if Dovi or Rossi take that seat....maybe Crutchlow on an outside chance.

The Rossi rumor is interesting. I'd say it is a bunch of pishaw, but there is one big factor. Sponsor money. With Fiat leaving after Rossi left and Yamaha GP being broke, if Rossi could pull a considerable amount of sponsor dollars to the program they may cave. I have hear rumors that Rossi is a good friend with Marlboro's big wig (cant remember the name) and that he could pull his sponsorship from floundering Ducati and move with Rossi to Yamaha...
