I don't get what they're accusing them of.....
If a page continually sends out updates, why would its fans suddenly stop receiving them compared to a year ago?

They limit how many of their fans receive the updates in their newsfeed, unless you pay FB, which removes a lot of traffic from their posts and utimately their interests (websites, etc).

Is that a change in terms compared to a year ago?

Seems as though it's continued to change and expand...

I'm mixed on this one. On the one hand, the blog is griping that it essentially wants its free advertising channel back. That's not really realistic. On the other hand, the rates being charged by Facebook for this are ridiculous.

It's also dumb that a regular joe like me also has to pay to ensure pictures of my kid get out to all my facebook friends.

This is the natural cycle of the internet, sites come and go. Look at myspace, yahoo, cycleforums, sites come and go. Major changes take place that people dont like, so they start migrating somewhere else.

Its gonna take a while because people have invested a lot of their lives on facebook, pictures, friends etc... its gonna take a while for folks to move to something else that is free and facebook will be just like yahoo, still out there making money (somehow) but nobody ever really uses it.

My guess is that as time moves on G+ which has sort of floundered for a while and been the other less popular social network will gain customers and start to get a decent foothold with more active users, especially once it becomes easy to migrate photo albums and friends list over there.
