Some of the hp will be made up after Steve dyno-tunes it, no? Or is that where you stand now, after the tune?

What year was your 636? My buddy has an 04 with a supersport built motor and my R6 walks away from it on the straights

Your buddy's motor builder should be kicked in the nuts then. Considering stock for stock, a sub 110hp stock bike shouldn't walk away from a plus 120hp stock bike.

hp figures are meaningless unless they are from the same dyno on the same day...
But it doesn't surprise me. He said the motor upgrade made a huge difference from his stock 636 motor. it's just that the r6 is two years newer and it's a screamer.

nevermind the R6's bhp is 133 not under 110, hp numbers are a pain in the ass to find reliable info....

My stock 05 636 motor was putting out 112 hp, while the R6 put out 102 "as raced," 106 after remapping. Both run on the same dyno, around the same time of year (last year around this time on the 636). The highest hp number my tuner has seen on an R6 on his dyno is 114 (stock 08 R6 with LV pipe, pc3, and U4), so I'd say that 133 hp is pretty meaningless. I could get more out of my bike, but I'm not willing to quadruple my fuel costs per weekend by switching to race fuel.

he should walk away from you, or walk to his builder and kick him in the nuts.

It could be his buddy is a tool and doesn't know how to ride his built 636. But my buddy had a stock '03 636 w/ a slip-on and I never walked on him. Him and I are the same speed on the track, too. But if your buddy does know how t ride and you're still pulling on him, he needs to kick his builder in the dick.
