Then you are doing it wrong. It takes me much less time to clean my Speedy than it did my fully faired bikes.

Soft rag for the normal parts with quality car soap, Simple Green sprayed all over the naked bits, then rinsed clean with hose FTW. After my final rinse, I take the leaf blower to the bike and blow dry it. Clean and lube the chain and some spray polish on the painted parts and she's ready to go.
