sand builds up in piles in corners around here. The first few rides are fairly interesting every year.

Rode a few beaten paths myself over the weekend.....made me nervous with all the snow on the sides of the road, even though it was 60

That's for sure. Went riding yesterday and overall the roads are decent...of course this is the south but even with the little snow we've had there was still a few deep pot holes that weren't there just a short time ago. Hit a bit of sand/salt in a curve and it caused the sphincter to tighten right up.

I live in ND... there is ALWAYS sand and gravel on the roads.

And cold pavement does not have very much traction.
