Unusual tire question
Ok, this question is the equivalent of the age old "how many licks does it take to get the to center of a tootsie pop?"
For simplicity sakes, how much is total mileage you can get out of tire reduced if it's ridden 2 up for the duration of it's life? Say one did an experiment, by keeping all variables the same from bike, tire, route, and rider in controlled experiment A, than in B just added a passenger with an identical set of new tires as used in test A, would there be a significant reduction in mileage by adding the passenger? |

I asked Erik this and he doesn't think it would make much difference. It would be some but minimal.

There would be a significant difference if you didn't increase the pressure to account for the added weight.

The tires would wear faster with the passenger, but if pressures and suspension settings were adjusted for the passenger's added weight then the impact would be minimized.

You would wanna pump some extra air in the rear or it will square quicker, however your obviously not going to push edge grip and depending on your throttle hand you will still get decent mileage. I have only had one woman ask me to really wick up the lean angle and exit drive.... i married her.
