but why?

What if I wanted to play Nighttrain faster than Axl Rose? Could I get in guinness for that? Seems pretty pointless of an achievement...

"This man got off faster then any man before him". Yay him. Heres a pointless award in a pointless competition.

OK, I can't believe it, but apparently this needs to be explained.

Nighttrain was not written specifically to be played fast.

Bumblebee was written expressly to be a musical "challenge" piece.

Mimicking the frenzied flight of a Bee, the song is meant to be played as fast as physically possible, despite being extremely complex and difficult to play quickly without error.

It is this irony that presents musicians with the challenge.

An interesting wrinkle to this performance is that nuances in cadence that aren't apparent by hearing the song at "normal" speeds (!) become apparent, and reveal yet another layer of genius in this incredible composition.

I thought the video was quite interesting in what it revealed about the composition when played faster than we are accustomed to hearing it.

Cool stuff.

Pretty sweet. But Nuno will still hold the record for the most awesome version ever!

The musician side of me is floored.

Okay, the musician side is the major side so I guess I'm completely floored
