Its gonna be interesting. I had the Eastern US Sales Rep at my store last week and we were talking about this bike. I got the official statement on it late last week. This wont be available until I think spring of next year...its going to be a pretty bad ass looking bike. Can't wait till we get our demo of it!

It's not making any more power than the old Rocket IIIs with pipes and a PCIII.
I might not make friends by saying this but the bike is a huge novelty. The paint is nice, the chrome is almost as nice as what HD puts out, but the motor to me is pretty uninspiring. It sounds like an old GM V6 with an exhaust system, and well, you feel every single one if its 700 plus pounds. It puts out torque like a tractor. Shifting is pretty much pointless once at highway speeds. It's one of those bikes you really have to watch the tach on. I bounced it off the rev limited all over the place. My father in law's makes 149/155 at the wheel. The guys who own them, seem to really love them. I've put about 1500 miles on one, and well, they can have it. FWIW, I went on a Rocket ride with several local guys to Winchester. First gear they had me by a little, second gear I matched them....3rd gear I reeled them in and passed one of them on my Vmax. |

I agree that the 2300 is a novelty. They actually limit the power out of those things because it's just so ridiculous. Torque is limited further in 1st, and I think 2nd as well. If that thing were built to 675 levels it'd be putting out like 300bhp. They should have given it a super reliable 200bhp or dropped the capacity down somewhat, or both, and made it just absolutely bonkers.

There's a guy I know out this way who has a supercharged intercooled one. He's run the Maxton mile with it. It's CRAZY looking. Carbon wheels, hand made fender, and probably $50,000 worth of time in it. I'll see if I can find a picture.
