Starter is a dubbed down version. I haven't read good things about it. Best to get a full version. That iriver.com place has sells on full versions for $30.

I've got an Acer One with 160gb drive. After I dropped a second gig of ram in it's actually pretty speedy.

How do I do this and how much does it cost? Can you buy new batteries when they die or upgrade batteries from 3 cell to 6 cell? Man is it next August yet?? My head is spinning and I have to start selling some eggs to afford all this school stuff. I just spent $175 on an itouch. The nursing app I need to load on it is $160. I was even wincing when I had to buy a $30 blood pressure cuff. Well at least it has cows printed on it. |

There's panels on the back with screws. One panel for ram, one panel for the HDD, and sometimes more or even just one big panel. The gateway one I have has a panel that has a PCI slot behind it. A lot of people found a HD decoder chip that plugs into the slot and allows for HD movie viewing. Ram is constantly changing prices. I just scan slickdeals.net for prices. Yes you can buy extra batteries. Also some swap with each other. Acer=gateway. I had both the gateway and an Acer. The gateway has a 6cell batt and the acer a 3cell batt. They both interchanged. |
