Im almost 30 friggin years old, and other than a broken toe, I've never broken a bone in my body.

Aside from the pain, the ride was incredible (horse is a race horse, retired for knee injury but still fast as f**k)and the rest was pretty comical. My poor riding instructor finally found me laying in the back pasture still trying to breathe, I calmly told her it was okay, I wasnt dead, however I was hurting pretty significantly. The lil tiny thing actuallt piggybacked me halfway back to the barn (calling me a gnarly bitch while she was carrying MY fat ass). Then some random barn patrons realized something had happened and they all insisted on carrying me back. Getting the boot off was fun too. Not really. Im lying.

Eric, they said its a fracture, apparently my ligaments tore the bone apart or something. I was kinda high at the time. I've got to go see an ortho, but Im stuck in a splint, cast or whatever else they decide to give me for at least 4-6 weeks.

The biggest kick in the ass? I am in training to become a riding instructor for the disabled, I'm almost done with the program, my certification tests are February 3-5, and they include a riding portion. I'm screwed. If I cant ride, its a ton of cash down the drain, and a waste of the last 6 months.

I'm 33. I still will ride. and go through a jump with one.


after you heal up.........then make the decision. I hope you can ride in Feb....I think thats a selfless thing for you to do...

I'm with everyone else....their body size-brawn to brain size ratio deters me from ever wanting to ride one.
