This is what I got

y^x=3y-1

x= (ln(3y-1)/ln(y)) only if y > 1/3

z=3^x+5

z = (3y-1)^(ln(3)/ln(y))+5

So basically we have two equations and 3 unknowns.

Well the fact that we start with two variables, and only one complete equation means that you cant solve for both variables.

I really want this to be

yx=3y-1 solve for 3x+5

y=1
x=2

solution=11
