I got one of those HP mini towers from the metal recycler I go to. It was just laying there in the dirt. Everything works and was clean. I guess some one had just threw it down before I got there. The only bad is it smells like a smoker's asshole. I had it running in the garage and after 30 minutes the whole garage smelled like I was having a smokers anonymous meeting. I need to take everything apart and give it a bath in gasoline. LOL

This. If you go that route you will need an external hard drive or the thing will be useless.

True enough, they're still pricy... but good lord these computers are practically indestructible. I know I've had mine for almost 3 years, and I got it from a friend who had had it for about a year.. it's been to Iraq and back, had the shit beaten out of it, have several gigs worth of photography and video work, and still runs like a champ. Even the ones they allow students to sign out at school always work well, and I doubt that they are re-imaged more than once a quarter. I'm not one to say Mac is better than Windows, it's all personal preference and I use both, but it just seems like the Macs are more solid, stable and last longer... so it seems to me you get your money's worth.

I have one as well, got it for my cross country trip. It's a piece of shit. Should of just laid out the big money and got a Macbook Air. My netbook will most likely never be used again. It's not hackintosh capable unfortunately.

I have been a mac using asshole for awhile now. I still hate that stupid fuck Steve Jobs. That dude was a fucking douche. Even more now that I know the "real Steve Jobs" from reading his biography. I don't know how anyone can like that man after reading his bio. He was a fuckin massive prick.
