This story is to awesome to be true.

My wife gets annoyed when I do stuff like this. She wishes it were not true.

What the hell. I have a comfortable couch.

"too"

I disagree with Kel, I think that grammar education is pretty universal.

If you don't bother to learn it or would rather speak a certain way because that is how others in your house / neighborhood / community speak, I'll have no pity for you when you fail to rise above your current situation.

Yeah that seems more the case than they weren't given the opportunity to learn.

I'm not saying I don't agree with your point of view....I'm saying that not everyone has had the benefit of that kind of education.

Seriously....you think grammar is being taught well in school these days?

And she works at McDonald's....that IS her current situation.

And, that very reason makes it more important than ever to correct someone in the way handled on the first post.

Me? I just twitch and leave. But then, I don't have the patience.

I have to be in the right (albeit very sarcastic) mood and have the time available... if all of those conditions are met, it's gloves off time...

Yes it is.

If she never rises above a minimum wage order-taker, I'll have no pity.

Correcting someone...I'm all for.

I'm just playing devil's advocate here but that exchange was nothing short of pompous assholishness....intended to ridicule and get a rise out of the worker.

I'm not knocking him or anything....like I said...just playing devil's advocate.
