remember accesories are things like slip ons (or full systems), GPS, anything aftermarket that you have on your bike.

I shook State Farm down to cover whatever gear I was wearing at the time of an accident with no $$ limit. There is a letter in my file that specifically states that.
Hell, 1k wouldn't even replace my Aerostich. Let's not even talk about the helmet, gloves, or boots.

I've had insurance with State Farm since about 92, they don't like it if you have 3 totaled bikes within 5 years. they want to drop you. my agent went to bat for me and they didn't drop me, I was within a couple months of the first one going past 5 years and dropping off so they didn't drop me.

Farmers.
I have medical and liability only (comprehensive is too damn expensive - I just put the money away so if anything happens to the bike I'll just buy another one). Costs me about $100 per year.

i also have Farmer's. i'm happy with them. while i haven't had to file a claim, they had better rates than any other company (Geico, Progressive, etc - the big advertisers had crap rates for me) and i have a local agent who's very helpful. i have my car, bike, and renter's insurance with them.
