I do know when it comes to dirtbikes you'll need more than just the lights and a mirror.
Not only did my lights require a battery, they needed a stronger stator too. Plus it must've been a bitch for the previous owner of my bike to figure out how to not ghetto rig the wiring which he did. I imagine finding a place for all the wires and cables and what have you, must be tough on a bike that's designed to not have any of that. The plus is, since the brakelight and low-beam don't work on my bike, I'll be ripping all that garbage off and keeping pure offroad. |

It could more of the business that are the US economy and laws, rather than a "dying sport".
