You know, there was a time when people dreaded having to watch slide shows of other peoples' vacations... now with the age of blogs and facebooks and youtubes everybody wants to see everything again.
I put photography aside a long time ago and don't like seeing myself in pictures at all. I took a few shots of Grand Cayman with Dad's camera but that's about it. Maybe I'll make a point of getting a camera before my next cruise. Oh yes, I'm gonna do that again... lots of fun. Basically, I think cruising is about what heaven must be like. Nobody hungers or thirsts, all your needs are met... the alcohol is a little pricey, and the bacon (though plentiful) is a bit substandard... probably on account of Jesus being Jewish.

I was never one to not like looking at pictures, especially of one's travels. I've always enjoyed them. I live vicariously (sp?) through others. It gives me something to dream about & maybe just one day do it myself.

I think I'm going to lie down for a while.
Hopefully the rest of the night will go smoothly for you.

Honey, I'm home!
Oh wait...there's noone here. *sniff* Today is going to suck. I was informed before I left that I have to be at a meeting at noon. That cuts right in the middle of my sleep. I doubt I'll be able to get back to sleep when I get home from it either.

ER Director didn't go to work today. She ended up working a touch under 16 hours to help ease the rush and called out today. Dunno what's happening at work. I'm kinda disappointed that not one of my bosses bothered to call and get any kinda details, see what was going on with my shifts, or even accuse me of shit. I don't care what they would say, but not even a call. Kinda fuels my belief that things will continue to be business as usual while they look for a scapegoat.

I hate meetings. Meetings usually mean we fucked something up somewhere, new or change of procedures, etc. Not to mention it's taking me away from much needed sleep with a good chance I won't be able to sleep for a couple of hours when I get back. I'm typically not a happy camper with meetings. Why can't they schedule the meetings a little earlier to make it a little easier for the night crew? Sometiems I feel they're playing favorites with the other two shifts since the meetings are made around their time. Yet they want the night shift to be included. I've always said the night shift is the red headed step child, the outcasts of the business. This kind of proves my point. Yet night shift has proved time and time again we're more efficient than the other shifts. I'm hoping I can be asleep by 7am. As soon as I got home, I popped a couple of OTC sleeping pills so I can be alseep by the self appointed time. If I hadn't I wouldn't get to sleep until 9 or so and that wouldn't work well at all. And to make me even more irritable, it's freakin' cold and raining it's ass off.

No paperwork, thank God. Usually just a bunch of small shit we're supposed to remember. The meetings are supposed to be for shift supervisors. My shift doesn't have a true supervisor. I'm just a lead ( a dumbed down word for assistant supervisor) acting as a supervisor until she decides between another co-worker and I who gets the supervisor position. And both of us have to go to the meeting, which makes me wonder if she's going to tell us who gets the position? Neither one of us really care who gets it. He and I have always worked as a team and will continue to do so. I'm still iffy if I want that position anyway, since it involves more than I think the pay is worth. Even if I don't get it, I'll still be lead. No biggie.
