They're such a huge time commitment. I'm considering leasing so that I only feel obligated a couple of nights a week. We'll see.

Maybe once or twice as a kid for a guided (horse completely ignores you) ride or something. I don't think that counts though. Would love to own a few some day- like when I buy my grandparents' farm. I've always thought a good horse is like a good dog- expects you to take care of it, listens to you, but smart enough to know when bad things would happen.

They are truly one of the most beautiful and magnificent animals I can think of....I never owned one either, but lived near many farms and I just adopted them. They are so smart and powerful, yet gentle all at the same time. Smart enough to be clever and knock you off occasionally or cause other trouble too, which just makes me think even more highly of them.

I've ridden several times. When I was 7 my parents had me taking English riding lessons, but that only lasted about a year (and I've since forgotten about 95% of my riding skills). I'm fortunate now that one of my coworkers back home has horses and she invites me over to ride. Although the last time I was over there the saddle came loose and I fell off. Spooked the horse more than it spooked me, I think.

Yes, at the Toronto Zoo when I was a child. Cost my parents like 25 bucks for me to go for a ride about 100 feet, lol.

Yeah, somewhere between once or twice and many, many. I humored my wife and took some English riding lessons. It was actually pretty fun, but I needed to get in much better shape for it.

I rode alot as a kid, and even as a teenager since my family had horses but I've never had one of my own. One day tho, I plan to have some land and at least one horse.
