They keep things from combining with oxygen, and thus spoiling (which is probably why a McNugget will survive the next ice age intact, if left on the shelf).

There's a lot of things that are considered antioxidants, though. While all of them may stop oxidation, not all on non-toxic. Furthermore, this whole oversimplification of "anti-oxidant=good" that we've been fed as boilerplate, is somewhat hyperbole.

The fact is, overuse of anti-oxidants is being called into question by scientists, and can actually cause problems at the cellular level for some functions.

I can honestly say I've never eaten a chicken nugget from any fast food joint, ever. I have consumed at least a metric shit ton of mediocre burgers and fries in my life though.

I just came across a bunch of restaurant recipes for stuff. So far we have made Yoo-hoo and Taco Bell "fire" sauce.
Both are spot on, but I think the Yoo-Hoo tastes like ass, whether it be store bought or home made.

I would but first she will throw one or all of the cats at me, and I know if I make dinner it will be done when I want it to be, and it will be good

Yoo-Hoo is made of whey, the left over watery shit after you make cheese...and seaweed.

It can only taste like ass.
