Dont be too scared of mileage on these V4's. They can take a lot. Of course I can underdtand personal reasons.

I know the vfrs run forever, I know a few guys with older ones that are over 100k. I just want something that I can start low with and hit that 100k myself

An upright enduro is way different from what you're used to.
I'd recommend the Sprint ST. Looks good even with hard cases, good torque, and similar riding position to your old bike. |

my friend has an ST I just want to sit on it to get a feel for the ergos. I rode the GT and its a bit cramped in the legs. def an issue for longish or day trips.

If you mean the bike that is the 2011 replacement for the ST, it's really the same bike with some modifications.
