The wife, Ms Credit Union Manager... always throws people off when she tells them she rides a harley. Its funny.

I think why the kid was all full of piss and vinegar was the older couple ( 60 ish) that left as I pulled in.
( no wave or acknowledge either )

It was the his & hers stereotypical HD riders. Chaps, matching dew rags and leather vests. I guess dressing for "safety" versus fashion made it a bit more likely that I had something sporty.

Just ask the kid if he's practicing or if being an asshole comes naturally

Yeah the matcho or the people that look like they just fell out of the HD clothing tree just make me shake my head. I make a good effort to NOT purchase everything HD.

That being said... I did purchase a real nice black leather HD dog leash.

I hate when people at work as me if I rode over the weekend after coming in with some sun. I'm like duh... I can't get sun through my helmet and leathers, which they seem me walk in to work with each time I ride the bike there. I hate small talk. "How was vacation?" "Did you have a nice weekend?" "Good Morning." Bullshit, just leave me alone to do my job.

You sound like me. I don't feel the need to speak to every person I see! Especially when I'm somewhere I don't exactly want to be- Especially in the morning!

Having a pair helps bring out the extrovert me though

Around here to most you either ride a...

Harley

Harley copy or a Harley wannabe (metric cruiser or Victory)

or a crotch rocket...

I usually just respond with "I ride and like them all but currently own a sportbike...or crotch rocket... it's an R1 and my wife rides an R6".

I like cruisers too and would like to own one of each but if it's only one...it will be a sportbike for me.

Observe the teeth to tattoo ratio while checking out the ladys in walmart. "Checking out" is a poor choice of words here but you know what I mean.
