I have it and I hate it. Mine has less to do this my jaw and more to do with how my bite has changed with 10 teeth that have been extracted and years of braces.

I don't get headaches, but pain caused by sore muscules and swelling. I'm not even going to touch the sexual side of this.... The pain comes if I'm stressed or eat a lot of chewy food.

Surgery is expensive and doesn't always work. It is the last route you want to take.

Things I do:
-No gum
-Cut your food into small bites
-When you feel your cheeks tense up, try to relax them or yourself. Ice packs can help reduce the swelling
-Night guard

My dentist said that if this remains an issue for me, I will have to go on muscle relaxers.
