An Intel Mac notebook vs. a PC notebook. Unless you're running it as VM. In the past.

I said I don't care to get into a fight over it. I was originally just stating that Macs can now run Windows apps fairly easily so if someone was interested in a Mac but was worried about Windows software, it's not that much of a concern. I wasn't trying to spur a debate, I was simply giving a fact.

I think you're thinking about a PC Magazine article last year that stated the best Windows laptop was a MacBook Pro. But I don't think it was necessarily because the MBP was much faster than an equivalent PC laptop, it's just that they liked the construction of it and considered it the best overall choice compared to the PC laptops they tested. |

It wasn't that article, but there have been tests where they ran Photoshop scripts on a Macbook in an XP environment and it could do it faster than several PC laptops could.

They're better PCs than PCs, they're MACs, and can even run LINUX. They're well made, compact, well designed and thought out, and are usually very efficient. What's not to like? Today's MACs mean not even having to have the Win vs. Mac debate.

I love my Mac, I have a newer Windows laptop which I like but I still enjoy using my Mac more. Thats the difference.

now that's some funny shit right there...
Personally, I like the style, even if the rest can be duplicated for cheaper. I'm okay with paying extra for it. We just got a big iMac, and it's the first computer I don't mind having sitting out in plain sight in the living room. |
