haven't done a lot of touring rides huh?
sometimes it just happens. I have an older Joe Rocket tailbag with a rain cover that has elastic on the bottom which keeps it from flying off. I've used it in all manner of weather (rain, sleet, snow) and it has yet to get water in it. I have a Nelson Rigg tank bag that I just put on last year but haven't taken any large trips with. Also comes with a rain cover which has survived commuting to work in the rain with no issues. I've discovered that on long rides, backpacks tend to tire me out because of extra drag and because it traps heat

I got that bag, and a huge ass tankbag that I can lay down on, between the two I have plenty of room for stuff/ Plus the tail bag has 2 straps on top that I can put a bedroll or tents or stuff of that nature on.

the tank bag is good to lean forward on to get a little rest when riding, I always make sure to pack softer stuf fin there. Tom |
