He says they are good because "in the moment", which is when you will actually have to USE your sidearm, the ct allows you to not have to aim... it aims for you. (essentially)

In very close quarters, which is where you will (statistically speaking) have to use your sidearm, being practiced at bringing your weapon to bear is much more useful than gimmicky sighting devices.

thats all well and good but as i said the offset design REQUIRES you to zero for one specific distance and will move the impact in a diagonal direction away from the laser dot at any other range. Thats why i asked what range he set it for

Mailed in my application for permit today. Had to go to city police and pay $50, then fill out application and get fingerprinted. Then had to mail the application to the state alnog with $75 payable to the state. Total of $125 for lifetime carry permit isn`t too bad. Indiana currently doesn`t care whether you carry concealed or open. The permit should arrive in the mail in about 4-6 weeks.

Take a CCW class whether it is required or not.

Every gun dealer with an indoor range will offer a class.

Most sporting goods stores offer classes.

Check:
Gander Mountain
Sportsmans Warehouse
