RC51 Value
I have been offered a 2003 RC51 30k (seems well maintained and has a Jardine? Exhaust ) as partial trade against my victory. What is the Value of this kind of bike is there any real market for this kind of Machine? Since I am off to get another Honda Single cam at the end of next week I don't need a 5th bike

Rc's are still going at a premium these days. Very sought after. I'd jump on KBB and NADA to get an idea of a value.

I saw one for sale not that long ago. $5500 with some decent mods. It's sold now but that should be around ballpark value.

You could possibly get $6k for the right bike if the right buyer wanted it. If you had to unload it and don't have time to wait for an RC fanboy, you might have to sell the same bike for $4k. Being a trade situation, I'd try to get a feeling for the value of the bike and offer the guy the very bottom of the range or lower. If they were super easy to get rid of for big money, this guy could sell his bike and THEN buy yours.

A dealership here wanted $10,000 for one. Didn't even have front blinkers. What ass holes.

It depends on how much you like the bike, RCs are definitely cult bikes, they have a huge and devoted following. I paid 4500 for my 01 with 15k and it had seen better days. An 03 with 30k but well maintained, I'd say about $5000. The 03 is the second year of the SP2s (different cylinder head, different fuel injectors, different exhaust due to the head). RCs are a blast to ride, V-twin FTW.
