Could someone do that on $12K?

I would say $60K in NY is the equivalent of:

$50K in DC, Boston or San Francisco
$45K in LA
$40K in Chicago, Seattle, or Atlanta
$30K in average America
$23-25K in a podunk town in Mississippi, Kentucky or the Dakotas

But not $12K

You know there are websites out there that already calculate that for you and you could have saved a lot of time and credibility.

Same applies to the other side of the debate.

Come on fellas, obviously $12k was a bit of an exaggeration, I mean that approximately $2/hour less than minimum wage. I know cops around here that would love to make $60k! Hell, I've never made over $40k in my life so I'd love to see $60k! Of course, I pay less than $700/month for rent and all utilities, live three miles from work, have zero city tax, etc so I guess that it balances out to an extent.

No, not an exageration, we actually meant that $12,000.18 is equal to $59,999.96. It just wasnt worth it for the few cents not to round out the numbers, however from this point on, I expect everyone to use those exact numbers.

Go
