I don't even see 120 miles to a tank. It's the wonderful 08 fueling issues. I've had it remapped, and I get the same. Then again, I beat the piss out of it every time I ride it.

I've never gotten lower than 42mpg's...regardless of how hard I ride. I'm usually 45 to 50mpgs. And I RARELY use 5th gear.

As for range...it's not much. I've got a 3.7 gallon tank. My light comes on consistently around 120 miles. At that point I'm supposed to have .7 gallons left. My fill ups show I've got more like a gallon. So...I could easily get 150 out of the tank.

Is it a ton of miles, no. But I like to stop frequently and stand up, walk around. I get uncomfortable on long stretches.

I understand... but if I take the trip's I'm planning... I'm not stop'n every 120 miles for gas on a 7-8k trip... it'd force me to add a couple days to the trip to have time to stop in certain places...

Maybe the Uly is more fitting for what you want to do. They have bigger tanks than the Firebolt.

ehh not as my main bike. I want a SS, just want one that gets at least what I was getting for my ZZR at 150miles to a tank.

I'd love to have a Uly as an adventure tourer though. take a trip to Barrow AK and back! (that's the northern most town you can drive/ride to)
