I only got 9000 miles out of the stock chain & sprockets on the Husky. AL sprocket, big bore thumper and no cush drive will do that.

Very true zoom. The only one you MAY be able to skimp on is the front as it is usually hardened steel. However, it will cause you to wear out your new chain faster. The 3 pieces wear into each other and if you put a new chain on old sprockets that new chain will wear poorly and its life will end sooner.
