Little update, it kinda pushed up some more and split soem of the asphalt. I pulled a piece off and it liiked like a tree root but it was kinda soft. I took a screwdriver and punctured it and it looks like some sort of mushroom

Guess its good and badit split up the driveway in one spot but I dont think it will go anywhere else. Sunday I will try to get in there and dig the restof it out and prolly put some weed kiler in there.

Thats what the driveway will eventualy become. Thats why I just need to do a temporary fix for now. Was hopin got redo the driveway next year but that may change with the little one on the way and some other pending house projects.

My house is completely covered by large trees, you can't see the roof from Google Earth, only tree canopy.

Its great in the summer, but the roots have completely destroyed the driveway and patio. In some cases the driveway has been pushed up half a foot or so.

Will cutting roots kill the tree?
